I'm a Tanzanian-Nigerian, American-based visual artist known for my detailed paper cut collages, which challenge reductive stereotypes while centering and empowering Black bodies—especially Black women. I aim to change how society sees us, recognizing us as strong, worthy, and valued.

Using cuts, layered paper, acrylic paints, gold leaf, and mixed media, I create multifaceted works portraying Black life and joy. My collages combine contrasting textures, opulent materials, and vibrant colors to provoke discussions on complex Black experiences in a divided society.

Influenced by architecture and everyday cultural interactions, I transform these elements through careful subtraction into sophisticated collages. I eliminate the unnecessary until reaching resonance—creating authority-filled works. I create new narratives that transcend stereotypes, showcasing the full spectrum of black experiences—encompassing joy, power, and vulnerability—while shifting visual representation.
